The Northwestern Mutual Foundation announced today that it is donating more than $275,000 to 25 non-profit organizations across the U.S. through its national Community Service Award program. The annual competition, open to more than 9,000 Northwestern Mutual financial representatives and assistant financial representatives recognizes exemplary volunteer commitment to charitable organizations and philanthropic projects. The program, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, has contributed nearly $3 million to almost 300 nonprofit organizations throughout the country on behalf of Community Service Award winners.

Twenty-four "Outstanding Volunteers," are recognized and honored for their achievements with a grant of $10,000 to each organization they represent. One "Most Exceptional Volunteer" is named and awarded a $25,000 grant for their designated nonprofit. (see list of winners below)
