In the ranking of 100 companies, Northwestern Mutual ranks 43rd overall, up seven spots from 2009.  The company ranks 13th among medium-sized companies (2,500 – 9,999 U.S. employees), and first overall in the state of Wisconsin.

Computerworld’s annual feature ranks the top 100 work environments for technology professionals, based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention.  In addition, this year more than 38,000 IT workers were surveyed for the list, and their responses factored heavily in determining the rankings.
