MILWAUKEE, WI – July 7, 2009 – Kimberley Goode, vice president of Communications for Northwestern Mutual, will now assume additional duties as president of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation. The financial security company is also naming Deanna Tillisch, director of Corporate Affairs, as Foundation vice president, where she will manage day to day operations of the organization.

The Northwestern Mutual Foundation contributed $19 million nationally in 2008. Notable contributions in 2009 include $500,000 to the American Red Cross to enhance its recovery and relief efforts in areas affected by natural disasters, as well as $1 million to four nonprofit organizations, based on votes by visitors to an interactive Web site as part of the company’s integrated marketing and charitable campaign, Let Your Worries Go.
