Investment Strategy:
The Mid Cap Growth Stock Portfolio will seek to achieve its objective primarily by investing in companies with market capitalization that do not exceed the maximum market capitalization of any security in the S&P SmallCap 600® Index at the time of purchase. These companies, for the most part, are mid-sized and smaller companies whose stock may experience substantial price volatility. Under normal circumstances the Portfolio will invest at least 80% of its assets in stocks. Because the Mid Cap Growth Stock Portfolio will, for the most part, be investing in stocks which possess substantial price volatility, an investment in the Mid Cap Growth Stock Portfolio will present more risk than an investment in the Growth Stock Portfolio.

Portfolio Managers:
The Mid Cap Growth Stock Portfolio is co-managed by Jill Grueninger, CFA, and Curtis Ludwick, CFA. Ms. Grueninger is a Managing Director at Mason Street Advisors. She received a BBA degree and an MS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ms. Grueninger has 19 years of investment experience. Mr. Ludwick is a Director at Mason Street Advisors. He received a BBA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign. Mr. Ludwick has 13 years of investment experience.
