    BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the closing and funding of selected commercial mortgage loan and equity investments as well as selected loan modifications.  Coordinates and tracks satisfaction of all closing requirements on assigned investments.  Reviews, analyzes and approves title insurance and surveys, constructs final drafts of loan documents and reviews/negotiates/approves loan documents.  Reviews and analyzes commercial leases and corporate organizational documents.  Insures investments/modifications are closed consistent with original deal points.   

    QUALIFICATIONS:   Law degree preferred.  Three to five years of experience in the closing of commercial real estate transactions required.  Management experience desirable.  Understanding of landlord/tenant lease issues as well as understanding of corporate law as it relates to companies, partnerships, etc. required.  Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully and work effectively during periods of high volume.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required with ability to build a consensus.  High degree of analytical skills required.  Be a team player consistently delivering a high level of service.

  • Investment Products Consultant

    Description:

    BASIC FUNCTION:  This position assists in strategic operational planning and direction for project/support objectives within the department to ensure the product line is positioned appropriately within the distribution network and to ensure that future changes and/or new product designs are addressed in a timely manner.  Leads and manages complex department and cross-departmental projects designed to advance the sales and servicing of the product line; oversees projects through planning, support, coordination and business integration.  Coordinates with core product line departments to address opportunities in the integration of the product line into a company-wide approach focused on meeting field and customer needs. Ensures regulatory compliance by working closely with Law and Compliance to ensure adherence to obligations required to conduct business, launch programs and address Field practices.

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, finance, economics or related field preferred.
    • Generally 6 years experience in financial services with emphasis in [securities products / advisory products / broker-dealer operations / investment adviser activities, etc.] preferred.Demonstrated ability to analyze issues:  Including ability to gather relevant information systematically while considering a broad range of issues or factors.

  • Financial Planning & Sales Support Consultant

    Description:

    This is a regular full-time, project funded position expected to last 18-24 months.

    This position may be filled at a P2 or P3 level.  See additional information for the Basic Function and Qualifications.

    BASIC FUNCTION:  Educate and provide financial planning consultations and product sales support to the field which will reflect the full breadth and depth of financial issues.  This will include fundamental planning concepts and involve support for our financial planning strategies and their implementation in our planning and proposal support software. The software is our Personal Planning Analysis (PPA) and our product illustration systems.  You will provide case consultation via inbound calls, participate in proactive sales campaigns and other outbound calls to educate and engage the field on new products or planning initiatives. Consultants provide education as a trainer or speaker at in-house, or network office, events on topics such as product design, illustration tools, financial strategies, planning tool usage and methodologies.  Additional for P3 level: Candidates considered to be deep subject matter expert on one or more complex planning modules and/or products.  As the subject matter expert, you are capable of collaborating across departments and/or divisions to support the strategic mission and goals within Planning and Sales, Product lines and NM at large. You deliver expert guidance to the Regional Sales Team on planning topics, products, sales concepts and markets to help them achieve Network Office sales goals.   You can provide education as a trainer or speaker on most planning, product and market topics and participate in proactive sales campaigns as well as provide support to higher level division or company projects..

    QUALIFICATIONSCandidates must successfully complete and pass the required PSI (Performance Skills Index) testing as required.  This position has been classified as a Registered Representative under NMIS guidelines and requires fingerprinting.  B.S. degree in business, finance, marketing or related field desired or a minimum of 2 years experience in a financial services environment focused on presenting and educating audiences on a variety of financial products.  Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of financial services products and application relative to planning and products. Excellent knowledge of one or two specific products desired.  Excellent ability to meet the expectations and needs of customers through delivering suitable recommendations.  Effective demonstration and application of sales consultation skills; ask relevant, open-ended questions to engage the caller, discuss needs and concerns and validate solutions based on those needs. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver clear and smooth presentations. Demonstrated ability to carry self well in a group setting.  Desirable qualifications:  Series 6 license to service investment products and PPA modules. CLU, ChFC or CFP designation.   Additional for the P3 level:  FINRA Series 6 required or willing to obtain within 3 months of hire. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a financial services environment. Candidates must also have industry designations such as CLU.
