Mark McLennon, J.D., CPA, CFP®
As vice president of Investment Products and Services (IPS) business development, Mark is the chief liaison for IPS to the company’s Planning and Sales, Advanced Planning, Specialty Markets, Marketing and Meetings functions. He partners with these areas to integrate wealth management offerings and high-end planning into Northwestern Mutual’s network offices. Mark’s role also includes oversight of the fee-based financial planning program, IPS meeting development, IPS communications, and overseeing departmental growth initiatives.
Mark has played a key role in numerous company-level initiatives, including the development of Northwestern Mutual’s estate, trust, fee-based planning, advisory and private client services programs, and in conjunction, the 2001 introduction and subsequent growth of the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company.
Mark has also worked with the business, financial and estate planning concerns of entrepreneurs and corporate executives as both a consultant in the tax division of Arthur Andersen & Co. and as an attorney in the estate-planning group of a large Milwaukee law firm. Outside of private practice, he has over 25 years of industry experience working with and marketing to high net worth individuals, including serving as an advanced planning attorney and as head of the financial planning area at Northwestern Mutual.
Mark holds an accounting degree from Marquette University and a law degree from Northern Illinois University. In addition, he holds the CPA, CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®, PFS and FLMI designations.
