Responder Resilience Podcast

Adam Palamara of Northwestern Mutual, who works with over 100 First Responders and Veterans across the country spoke with the Responder Resilience Podcast. Adam discussed some critical questions that should be answered well before retirement arrives. He also discussed estate planning, financial planning and pension maximization strategies. Depending on the type of work you do, your financial plan may vary, but the key is to make a plan. Adam shares ways to go over the best ways to map out a strategy to maximize your pension, plan for the future of your family, and covers the subjects of long term care options and supplemental insurance.

Beyond The Badge

For the fourth year in a row, I was honored to be a part of the Strikeout Suicide Softball Game hosted by Beyond the Badge. Beyond The Badge NY is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that was created by two local law enforcement officers, to raise suicide and mental health awareness, as they felt the need to address the growing mental health crisis that the law enforcement community is currently facing.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.

Leadership Symposium

This week’s Friday Photo comes from the home office’s New York campus, featuring the Eastern Region Performance Team and the Eastern Region MP’s Leadership Symposium. The Oct. 12 collaboration was a success, thanks to a strong partnership between the home office and managing partners, whose aim was to inspire emerging leaders, build excitement for the leadership path, and provide cross-office networking and field-driven learning opportunities.

Each of the 15 Eastern Region MPs chose two emerging leaders to attend the symposium, who created a development plan based on what they had learned from presenters that day.
