Alwyn and his network of specialists are strong believers in building long term relationships with their clients, they are in it for the long run, and this is the way they plan. His passion lies in working with families and building the foundations and security for all the changes that come with having kids. Alwyn also really enjoys being a resource to businesses, helping them grow financially through effective benefit structuring.
Alwyn originally hails from South Africa, but now lives in Chantilly, South Riding with his beautiful wife Sarah, and their two kids Benjamin and Emily.
His background is in the maritime industry, having been a captain on private luxury yachts for 13 years. His wife sailed with him as a chef and together they travelled over 40 different countries.
Alwyn’s hobbies includes golfing at his local course with his son, a spot of bass fishing, and getting together with the dads group he started.
On weekends you will find him supporting his kids sporting events, visiting local wineries with his wife and kids, and bbq’ing on the back deck with friends.
He is big family man, and counts his blessings every day for his wonderful family.
His strength is a strong belief in wanting the best for his clients, and treating others they way he would like to be treated.
His weakness is his wife's amazing cooking.

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
