Personal

Originally from Encinitas, Andrew Rubin and his wife, Lisa, live in Carlsbad. Andrew and Lisa are very close with their daughter, Savana, who lives in Vista.

In his spare time, Andrew enjoys traveling with his family and helping out his community. Andrew is involved in several local organizations including the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, Alex's Lemonade Stand, UJF, and TARA. He also likes to spend time with Lisa riding their bikes down the coast, working out, yoga, and living an active lifestyle.

Andrew and Lisa try to spend as much time possible with their grandchildren. Andrew's first grandchild was named after him, aka "Rubin." His youngest and only granddaughter, Anistyn, was born on his birthday.

Andrews interests include traveling, scuba diving in tropical waters, surfing, and playing poker in the WSOP.

Professional

As a San Diego native, Andrew taught scuba diving off the coast of La Jolla for 4 years through his college career. With a Bachelor of Science in Business, and an emphasis in Finance, Andrew wanted to make sure he could find a place not where he would have a job, but rather a place where he could put his values, integrity and work ethic to use. With so many possibilities, Andrew decided to make sure what his professional calling was and moved to the Caribbean to follow his dream of teaching scuba diving in the tropics. After seven months of water saturation, Andrew decided it was time to start a family and a career. He moved back to San Diego, and started his professional career with Northwestern Mutual in 2001 and ended up marrying his college sweetheart.

Andrew thought there wouldn’t be a better place to start a lifetime career than Northwestern Mutual. “Northwestern Mutual achieved the longest record at number one in any industry in the history of FORTUNE® magazine’s “most admired” survey, after leading the life insurance for 25 years” [March 16, 2009 issue, FORTUNE® magazine survey].

Since the beginning of Andrew's career as a Financial Representative, he has progressed to the role of Wealth Management Advisor. He has worked hard to earn a few credentials educating him in various markets to benefit his clients.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
