Andrew Michael Weimer

Financial Advisor

A native of New Hartford, Andy is heavily involved in local youth sports and other community endeavors.  He is especially recognized for his background in baseball, having played collegiately at Le Moyne College and then professionally for several organizations.  He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays and was inducted into the Le Moyne College and Mohawk Valley Sports Halls of Fame. 

Andy and his wife Laura reside in New Hartford with their children Ilana, Michael and Joey.  His interests include coaching youth sports, reading, studying history and researching his family's ancestry.

Karen joined AMW Financial in 2022 after many years of experience in the fields of financial planning, leadership development, and education.  Karen keeps all gears in motion at AMWF with a spotlight on client satisfaction, goal achievement and loyalty.  She is responsible for procedural efficiency and infrastructure building within the team.  Karen is dedicated to her craft and always finds a way to get the job done. Karen holds her license in life, accident, and health insurance. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, baking, and kayaking. Karen and her husband Jake love to spend time in the Adirondacks in the summer/fall months and in warm, sunny climates in the winter!  Karen is originally from Sherrill, New York, and now resides in Munnsville, New York.  She and Jake are parents to three grown children, Alonzo, Adriene, and Keegan.

A native of Turin, New York, Alexis began her tenure with Northwestern Mutual as an intern before joining AMW Financial.  Alexis is responsible for client services, scheduling, accounting, and marketing.  She holds her license in life, accident, and health insurance, and is pursuing her investment licensing.  Additionally, Alexis is currently on-track to earn a bachelor's degree in accounting from UMGC.  She enjoys spending time with friends and family (especially her dogs Milo and Arlo).

A native of New Hartford, NY, Dan joined the AMW Financial team with the responsibilities of meeting preparation, risk/annuity client onboarding, and planning. Dan holds his license in life, accident and health insurance. Dan graduated from The College of Saint Rose where he received his bachelor’s degree in business management, while also playing on the baseball team. In his free time, he enjoys coaching baseball, golfing, and spending time with his friends and family.

Andy has built AMW Financial from the ground up, focusing on solid client relationships as the crux of his business.  Listening to clients' individual goals to develop customized financial recommendations has led to the growth and durability of AMW Financial.  Andy appreciates his team and its efforts to ensuring client service and satisfaction are always at the forefront.  Andy has extensive experience working with clients from all stages of life and careers.  He especially enjoys working with young families, small businesses, and retirees.

Following college, Andrew Weimer pursued a professional baseball career for seven years. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays and also spent time with the Cincinnati Reds' organization, as well as with several Independent League teams.

In 2009, Andrew joined Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative. He obtained his Series 6, 63 and 65 Registrations. He also holds his Life, Accident & Health, as well as Securities Licenses in several states across the nation.

Andrew is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®) and a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®). 

AMW Financial operates out of the New Hartford, New York, District Office at 19 Campion Road and a satellite office at 105 East Schuyler Street, Suite B, Boonville, NY 13309.
