Snapshots with Santa
Pictures with Santa started out as a joke five years ago and turned into an annual opportunity to give back to our community for the residences of St. John the Baptist Parish and the surrounding areas. A time of fellowship and an opportunity to give back to the community during the most wonderful time of the year! While my husband plays Santa, I enjoy playing Mrs. Claus, & our children, family, and friends would assist as Elves to provide door prizes, giveaways, light refreshments, music, and fellowship for the community. One year we did a cookie decorating contest, and the following year we had a live book reading from a local author. Everyone would leave with their personal picture with Santa.
Jack & Jill of America, Inc.
Through service projects, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. creates a medium of contact for children ages 2-19 to provide social, cultural and educational opportunities to stimulate their growth and development. Through lobbying, educational programming, dissemination of education materials, and the organization of community and charitable events, Jack and Jill has promoted the public awareness and interests of children including child development, child growth, child quality of life, child care and the promotion of children’s rights.
ACLU of Louisiana
Anitra has served on the ACLU Board of Directors since 2019. Since 1956, the ACLU of Louisiana has worked to advance and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States and the State of Louisiana. They are part of a nationwide network of affiliates that fights tirelessly in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.
