The Impact of Trust and Financial Planning on an Immigrant Family
How important is trust? For families, it is the backbone to any deep relationship. If you’re looking to learn about how much trust can change lives in financial planning, you’ve come to the right place. This is the story of my family and how friends and working relationships that went above and beyond impacted us.
Personal
Brian Sytsma heard the call to serve others at a young age while demonstrating the entrepreneurial mindset. At the age of 18, he moved from Crown Point, Indiana to Raleigh, North Carolina and extended his personal and professional journey to another home.
He served at North Carolina State University as a Resident Advisor where he received his Bachelor's Degree from the Poole College of Management. Brian received the University Housing East-Campus Resident Advisor of the Year Award in his first year of service. This award was given to 1 individual among over 200 candidates for community service and making an impact on the collegiate community by recognition of faculty, students, and peers.
Through relationship building and grit, Brian found his way to Northwestern Mutual where his practice is maintained in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Brian and his wife, Megan, are very active in the community through North Carolina State's Entrepreneurship Clinic and New City Church. Brian is a mentor often for the Entrepreneurship Clinic at North Carolina State helping add to the expertise of new and existing entrepreneurial minds. Brian and Megan have been together for over 8 years and live with their sweet dogs, Molly and Simba and their daughter Brooklynn.
