Professional
Before we can speak intelligently about the products and services that might be appropriate for you and your family, we need to get to know you. And, before you can feel comfortable sharing your goals and dreams, you need to get to know us.
On the referral of a trusted professor, I began this career in Northwestern Mutual's nationally recognized internship program in Fargo, ND. I learned this business inside and out from the professional team of experts in that area. I excelled in the internship program and quickly realized this was exactly the career I was made for. After graduating from Concordia College, I moved back to my hometown of Duluth, MN and begin my practice.
Today my team and I have the privilege of serving a group of the most forward-thinking and motivated clients across the United States. Taking impact a step further, I took on the Managing Director role in June of 2017 and now lead a growing and thriving team of local advisors that share the same desire to positively improve and impact our local community.

Personal
My name is Dan Moseley and I am the Managing Director of our Duluth office. For the past 12 years, I have worked diligently to create a business based on a trusting relationship with my clients, team members, and professional colleagues. Growing up in Duluth, and working at Northland Country Club, I quickly learned there is nothing more important than creating and maintaining relationships both professionally and personally.
It’s important that I work with my wife and college sweetheart, Ashley, to teach that same life lesson to our 3 boys, Oliver, Jack, and Levi. Ashley and I are heavily involved in our Duluth neighborhood and are constantly searching for ways to make our positive impact greater.
Lending a hand in my community.
Impact is a word we do not take lightly. Our goal is to create an impact in our local community by volunteering, fundraising and championing those that need it.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm also proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
NM For the Kids
Our localized approach to impact in our community, the mission of NM For the Kids is to create impact and inspiration in the lives of kids in need throughout our community.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
