About Me

I am a big family man, and currently live in Escondido with my wife and our two young children. My wife and I were both born and raised in North County San Diego and have a great love for our community here. We are proud to be involved in our church, North Coast, and love to volunteer at the San Diego Food Bank, and other local nonprofit organizations.
As an Armenian, I have a lot of extended family with a very strong culture. My father was an immigrant and worked hard to give me and my siblings a great life here. I strive to do my best to always pay that forward to my community and my clients. When you work with me and my team, we’ll focus on your goals, and always keep your financial best interests in mind.

I received my degree in Finance from Penn State University, and then moved into a career in the television industry, working in finance at the corporate level for a production company. While I enjoyed my work, I was looking to have a more direct impact on people’s lives and decided to transition to the financial planning world in 2017.
After working at two different financial firms, I quickly learned the aspects of this industry I respected, and the ones I wanted to steer clear from. As a very analytical and research-driven person, in determining my next step, I observed about 30 different financial firms. I was looking for somewhere with a comprehensive approach to financial planning, where I could help families, individuals, and small business owners, offer fee-based planning solutions, and provide industry leading products.

I joined Northwestern Mutual in 2019 and I could not imagine a better conduit or culture through which I offer solutions to my clients. I appreciate the planning approach, products, and services of Northwestern Mutual and enjoy being part of a 167-year-old, award-winning financial institution with impressive strength in the marketplace.
My team and I specialize in optimizing wealth through data-driven strategies for tech professionals, engineers, and healthcare professionals. Additionally, I’m passionate about offering my clients specialized planning in areas such as cash flow management and estate planning, and services tailored specifically for high-income earners.

Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
North Coast Church, Children's Ministry
My wife and I volunteer in the Children's Ministry at our church. We believe that we have been extremely fortunate to be raised in caring, loving families here in San Diego and do our best to share the blessings we have back into our community.

San Diego Food Bank
My wife and I enjoy opportunities to put together supply baskets and serve people in our communities. San Diego Food Bank is the the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 63 million pounds of food, and the Food Bank serves, on average, 500,000 people per month in San Diego County.

San Diego Blood Bank
I also donate blood and platelets at the San Diego Blood Bank. The San Diego Blood Bank thrives off saving lives with quality blood services in partnership with the community.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
