After graduating Cum Lauda from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Finance and vice president of the university’s math club, David launched his financial practice. After four years with Northwestern Mutual in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he moved to Charlotte North Carolina and join Wells Fargo Advisors.

After three years with the bank he knew he wanted to have direct personal relationships with clients, provide them solutions, and see them accomplish their hearts desires. In order to get there, he knew he wanted to leverage the industry’s highest standards of integrity and competence, so he earned his CFP® designation and relaunched his financial planning practice in Charlotte. He has earned a spot as one of the top young advisors in Charlotte according to the Charlotte Business Journals. David values helping clients and learning. He is continuing his post grad education as he is currently working on additional industry-specific education.

Personal

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both of my parents are blue collar, small business owners, so I understood the value of hard work and entrepreneurship at a young age. I was a sports junkie growing up playing baseball, football and basketball and of course, I love my Pittsburgh Penguins, Pirates and Steelers! After feeling lost in life as a young teen I discovered Jesus Christ and fell in love with who God is, what he did for me and what he has planned for my life and those around me.

I took a leap of faith and moved to Charlotte, NC in 2016 as most of my family was consolidating here from around the country. I personally reside in Fort Mill but my family has a small farm in Kings Mountain where we have what I would consider a small zoo and bred dogs.

I spend my free time mountain biking around Charlotte, being apart of my local non-denominational church, golfing, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing and kiteboarding, if I get the chance.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
