About Dave
David grew up in Hampton, Tennessee and enjoyed both athletics and academics. David learned the value of hard work and personal responsibility by watching his Father and Mother work diligently to build a successful construction business and further a medical career respectively. David has carried these lessons with him throughout his academic life at King College and now professionally with Northwestern Mutual. David is married to his amazing wife Michelle and they have five children, Sophie, Riley, Keara, Kaleece, and Jace. David enjoys spending his time away from work with his family, serving at Harrison Christian Church, fly fishing, hunting, and living an active lifestyle.
About CJ
CJ grew up in Chatfield, MN and moved with his family to Bristol, TN in 1996. He was a successful student-athlete at both the high school and college levels. He gets his strong work ethic from his Mom and Dad, who are now enjoying retirement after working in the IT and Dental professions, respectively. CJ is a graduate of King College (Bristol, TN), where he played for the Men’s Basketball team from 1999-2004, and graduated with a degree in History/Secondary Education. He spent 17 years teaching American History and coaching multiple sports in the Bristol TN City School system, before joining the team at NM. CJ has been married to his wife, Sybil, for 17 years and they have two children, Madison & Maesyn. CJ is an avid Pickleball player, enjoys commentating for a local high school sports station, and traveling regularly with his family.

David began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 2010, after a successful career in the wireless technology industry. David started his career at Northwestern Mutual strong, earning awards for achievement in the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum categories. David has continued to be a successful advisor in the years following.

CJ began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 2022, after almost 18 years as a public school teacher and coach. CJ’s background in education and athletics has fostered a unique skillset that has been a welcome addition to our practice. CJ’s highly developed communication, multitasking, and organizational skills have fit perfectly in his role as Director of Operation. CJ also serves in a hybrid capacity as a licensed insurance producer and Associate Financial Advisor.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. I'm also passionate about helping foster and adoptive families locally in Northeast Tennessee. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Foster and Adoptive Parents Association
David is also involved with the Northeast Tennessee Foster and Adoptive Parents Association, where he serves as a liaison between Harrison Christian Church and the Association. David and his family are active in these communities and have been a foster and more recently an adoptive family. David, Harrison Christian Church, and the Johnson City Northwestern Mutual Office work together to provide Christmas gifts to foster and adoptive families in Washington County, TN. In addition to gifts, they provide an opportunity to see Santa and enjoy a meal together.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
