Jim Kiniris, CLU, ChFC wins 2017 Community Service Award

Northwestern Mutual - Sacramento is committed to serving the greater Sacramento community through non-profit and youth organizations. We are proud to announce Jim Kiniris, CLU, ChFC is the 2017 recipient of the community service award and a grant in the amount of $15,000 for Junior Achievement of Sacramento! Jim earns this award for 14 years of hard work and dedication as a board member and mentor teaching area children about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness. In that time, the organization has increased the number of students served by 40 percent and more than doubled its volunteer base to 700 volunteers. Jim accepted his award on stage at the Annual Meeting in April in front of 12,000 people!

The mission of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation is to build strong, vibrant communities that serve as a legacy to future generations. The Foundation's giving is designed to create an impact on the communities where the company's employees and financial representatives live and work. This is the second grant Northwestern Mutual has awarded to the Sacramento General Agency, following the 2011 Community Impact Award, with a running total of $61,000 impacting the special needs of non-profit organizations in the Greater Sacramento area.
