Eric Vanden Acker
Financial Advisor
My passion is building relationships and educating clients during the planning process, while ensuring they exceed their financial responsibilities.
Personal
Eric grew up in Hortonville, WI and attended Hortonville High School, home of the Polar Bears. In 2010, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he studied mathematics and education.
Currently, Eric lives in Menomonee Falls with my beautiful wife Carly. In October, they celebrated seven years of marriage, five of which have been while living in Menomonee Falls. They are both passionate about sports but are enthusiastic about different teams. The Packers and Brewers are staples for both as they enjoy attending games and cheering on their hometown teams. While they may not agree on cheering for the Seattle Mariners or Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they did agree to name their first dog Griffey in honor of Ken Griffey, Jr. Eric and Carly love animals and spoil their dog with long walks and hikes around the Greater Milwaukee area.
When not working, Eric enjoys being outside running, golfing or working on projects around the house. Traveling is a passion for both Eric and Carly and is something they have goals to visit various parts of the world!
Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

Professional
Prior to his time at Northwestern Mutual, Eric spent nine years as a high school math teacher at Hartford Union High School. During his years in education, he coached five seasons of varsity baseball, four seasons of basketball and two seasons of golf. Leading and helping educate has always been a passion of his, and these experiences helped prepare and lead him to his ultimate calling of helping families plan for and protect their future dreams.
When the opportunity at Northwestern Mutual came calling, he was excited to utilize his natural abilities and draw from his experience in education to provide excellent client service to people and families in all capacities.
Financial Representative "Must-Haves"
As a Northwestern Mutual representative, professionalism is defined not only by the measure of one's experience, education and accreditation, but by one's character and professional standard of practice in supporting clients as a trusted financial expert. Through personal commitment, professional associations and continuing education, Eric works hard to establish a reputation as a respected professional and to gain the trust of clients.
Who Is Eric Looking To Meet?
As a husband and family man, Eric primarily focuses on working with young families and those approaching/in retirement. Eric, and his team, can relate to the goals, struggles and hopes those families face at that stage of their life. He relishes the opportunity to work with families to provide an experience that will put them on the path to future success and financial peace of mind that their family can be provided for. Along with young families, he enjoys working with people of all ages who are looking to become more efficient with their finances or want to see if they are on track to reach their retirement goals.
Eric works with his clients on their specific situations and provide thoughtful solutions that fit their needs, budgets and lifestyles.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
