Merrill has spent the last 15 years building the Gagne Wealth Management Group from the ground up. Surrounding himself with extraordinary advisors and associates creating a culture that always puts the client first. Merrill graduated from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts in 2007. He majored in Finance and Economics with a specialization in Investments. Early on, Merrill was honored as a top producer at Northwestern Mutual including #1 in the Platinum Category for the Eastern Region. He has also received National Quality Awards, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Quality Awards, and Top of Table. He holds an Investment Advisor designation in Massachusetts and 25 other states across the United States. He also holds a series 6, 7, 63, and 65.

Personal

After college, both my wife and I returned to live in our hometown of Greenfield to help with our ageing parents. After realizing what a great place Western Mass is to raise a family, we put our roots down. Martha and I have raised three wonderful children, Christina, Stephanie and Nicholas.

I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family. Whenever I get the chance though, I am an avid fly fisherman for both fresh and saltwater game fish. 

Professional

During my junior year in college, I took advantage of an internship opportunity with Northwestern Mutual. It gave me the chance to work in the business world and to earn money to help pay my way through college. Working with different people every day and having an impact on their lives made choosing my career with Northwestern over the other job opportunities an easy one. The satisfactions of the relationships I've built up over the last four decades is the bonus for making the right choice back in 1981.  

Today, the major focus of my business is making introductions to my partner Merrill Gagne, Wealth Management Advisor for the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company here in Greenfield. Our goal is to provide the highest level of wealth management and planning services, the type you would expect in a Boston or New York City office, right here in Franklin County!
