I hope that this message finds you and your family healthy and well during this unprecedented time in our lives. Everything is so uncertain, and all of our routines have been disrupted. The Coronavirus has changed our lives in so many ways! This is a scary time for so many of us! We are all surrounded by an abundance of anxiety, fear, uncertainty, and confusing messages. We are witnessing people (including ourselves) acting differently and making important decisions, based on fear, scarcity mentality, and pure raw emotions! One of my friends defined it as “Mass Craziness”. People do not like change and everything in our lives has drastically changed in a matter of a few weeks.
One of the most difficult things for me is social distancing. I miss my HUGS! The next best thing that I have discovered is to use this time to reach out to friends and clients, to stay connected. One thing is clear, it is important that we support each other and to remind everyone to stay calm and realize that this is a journey that is out of our control. We can all do our best to cooperate and stay safe, but beyond that we cannot control this outcome. Many of you have talked about:
What will the future look like, and how that will affect my financial security?
Is this the right time to review my financial plan and rebalance my portfolio?
What do I need to do to make sure that my insurance and estate planning is in order?
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have some of these concerns or would just like to talk. It may also be a great time to talk to your estate planning attorney and review your will, trust and other estate planning documents.
My advice and message to all of you is to stay calm, be strong, and look at the positive side of our situation. One of my friends said it well “I will just make lemonade out of lemons”.
The following are some thoughts and suggestions to help you focus on the positivity of this situation and positive ways to spend any extra time that you may have.
Whatever way you choose to spend your time will be imprinted on how you move forward. The time we spend now planning will help us when this challenging time passes. The relationships and time spent with people now can make all the difference to their wellbeing and yours.
We are all in this together and together we are stronger!
Be safe and take care of yourself!
