Personal

My family is originally from the Pittsburgh, PA area but I was raised in Summerfield, NC and I am the oldest of 3. I decided to pursue my dream of playing collegiate golf at Greensboro College and then found the Northwestern Mutual internship my senior year.

During my internship I fell in love with the work that we were able to do for our clients and the immediate impact I was able to make in people's lives. It was an easy decision to pursue this career after finishing up my education.

I am married to Lindsey Jackman with whom we share the same birthday and met on our 21st birthday on April 21, 2014!  She is 7 hours older than I am.  We have a little girl, Molly, who gets all the attention in the family since she is the first child amongst my siblings and wifes family.

When I am away from the office, I enjoy watching the Hoppers play ball downtown, following my Pittsburgh sports teams, playing with my dog Kaya and I still try to play some golf!  Recently, I have caught the Pickleball bug and enjoy playing with my wife and clients in town.  I also am an avid BBQ geek.  I can make Ribs, Chicken Wings, Steaks, and Pulled Pork with the best of them.  I just wish more people in my family liked Brisket so I could make those more often!

Professional

Over my 10 years of working with our clients I have come to work with all different kinds of successful individuals.  I have uniquely done a lot of work with Medical Professionals throughout the country. Our team is positioned to help Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Doctors prepare for future financial success. My favorite part of the career is making it easier for my clients to sleep at night, helping them know all their financial questions will be answered and they have a great resource for success.  Our team has the privilege of working with multiple professional athletes, Attorneys, Small business owners among others

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Greensboro College where I also was a member of our two-time National Championship winning Golf Team. After completing an internship with Northwestern Mutual, I decided to dedicate myself full-time as a Financial Representative, now Wealth Management Advisor.  I have dedicated myself to continuous knowledge to be able to guide our clients with the latest in academic research and planning philosophy.  I have obtained 5 professional credentials over these 10 years each helping guide me in a different phase of planning:

Lending a hand in my community.

Lending a helping hand to those in need is something that is very near to my heart. As part of Northwestern Mutual our team often helps in fundraising efforts, 5K runs, and much more for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

I am also the former Chair of the Future Fund, a part of The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. I was responsible for planning and helping execute our largest event of the year-Future Fund Live. A shark tank style event where 10 non-profits local to Guilford County would pitch their organizations for a chance to win thousands in donations.

I serve as an active member of the Greensboro College alumni board as well supporting my Alma Mater and giving perspectives on how the school can best prepare the next generation of graduates.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. As any Northwestern Mutual advisor would tell you, I am very passionate about our firm and company's work with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. ALSF is a non-profit that is dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. This organization, along with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, are dear to my heart. My cousin, Brad, lost his life to Leukemia at 12 years old. My hope is that one day every kid gets the chance to be an adult.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
