Jose is proudly from Miami, Florida. He lives in South Miami with his wife, Marielys, who is a tax attorney, and their children, Emma and Erik (and with Riley, the family's beloved Shiba Inu).
Outside of work, Jose also enjoys carpentry, exploring South Florida with his family, and hanging out with friends. Jose loves to be on the water doing any type of water sports. He is also a self-proclaimed coffee aficionado and whiskey connoisseur. You might catch him eating lunch in downtown Coral Gables at Clutch Burger or Caja Caliente, Spritz Pizzeria, Grazianos, Als Coffee Shop, or Alhambra Station. And, on the weekend, the best way to get his attention is with Salty Donut!
Jose strongly believes that the person you become in five years depends strongly on two things: the people and books you surround yourself with. An avid reader, Jose is always looking to grow intellectually and as a human being.
His friends and family would describe him as relentless, competitive, ambitious, energetic, fun, and "pleasantly persistent."

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
