About Me

Born and raised in Henderson, Nevada, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that life’s challenges can have on individuals and their families. As the youngest among three older brothers, I have developed a deep-rooted passion for financial planning. Tragically, both of my older brothers, Dodd and Trent, passed away at a young age, and in 2005, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my Stepfather to Pancreatic Cancer. These personal experiences have ignited a burning desire within me to make a lasting difference in the lives of others financially.

Athletics played a significant role in my upbringing, as I found a niche in wrestling and football. One of my proudest athletic achievements was becoming a High-School All American in wrestling in 1998. I pursued wrestling at the University of Southern Colorado while studying business management. In 2001, the Wrestling program was discontinued; I had to adapt and seek other opportunities to complete and earn my degree. This taught me that life’s journey is never a straight line and that it presents unexpected challenges. I believe the lessons I learned from these experiences have shaped my approach to achieving financial success, and I draw upon them when educating my clients on financial matters.

I firmly believe that my life experiences, combined with my expertise in financial planning, uniquely position me to guide individuals and families toward their financial goals. I empower my clients to navigate the inevitable curveballs of life and attain financial well-being.

Outside of running my practice, I really enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports, and playing golf. Our favorite getaway is heading up to Mammoth, especially in the winter, and we also enjoy spending time on our boat in the summer at “Mead”. I currently live in Orange County with my wife, Bailey, and our 7 kids.

Professional

For over 15 years, I have demonstrated my expertise and dedication in the fitness industry, working as a personal trainer, strength coach, and successful business owner. However, my desire to continue making a meaningful impact led me to join Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Advisor in 2013. My greatest professional achievement can be measured by creating relationships with clients that provide expert guidance for a lifetime of financial security.

I have expertise in life insurance strategies, financial planning, distribution strategies, and effective tax management strategies. I work with clients assisting them in navigating complex financial landscapes. By actively engaging with clients, we challenge them to explore innovative solutions and make informed choices to lead to long-term success.

Prior to NM, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, at the University of Central Oklahoma. I currently hold my CHARTERED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT ChFC® designation as well as my RETIREMENT INCOME CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL RICP® designation.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
