Personal
I am an enthusiast for life! I enjoy running, spending time with my husband Fred, family and friends, living in Manhattan, and maintaining an active lifestyle. My mantra is to live each day to the fullest; taking care of my physical, emotional and financial well-being, and to develop all my talents and skills to impact the lives of others.
Memorial Sloan Kettering
- On November 1, 2009, I ran The New York City Marathon with Fred's Team to support THE AUBREY FUND, an organization that supports pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. I have also completed the New York City Half Marathon in 2009, 2010 and 2011 donating more funds to Fred's Team, totally my contribution to $12,000.
- At Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, doctors and researchers are working on clinical trials that have the potential to increase the survival rates. In recent years, the overall survival rate of children with cancer has increased from 55% to 70%.
Medals4Mettle (M4M)
- I donated my Medal to Medals4Mettle (M4M), a non-profit organization founded in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2005. Its mission is to celebrate and reward the individual and collective courage of all human beings by facilitating the gifting of marathon finisher's medals to people who have demonstrated similar mettle, or courage fighting disease, handicaps or any similar challenge.
- Marathon runners around the world, and others who have won medals, give their medals to Medals4Mettle. The nationwide network of physicians and others then award these medals to those who might not be able to run a marathon, but are in their own marathon to continue to live their life.
Marissa continues to combine her love for running with her strong desire to give back to the community. She plans to keep running for a cause and donating her medals to another one!
Professional
Marissa Savino Williams grew up surrounded by individuals who support Northwestern Mutual's philosophy and culture.
"I come from a family of strong believers in the products and services of the Northwestern Mutual. My Dad, Joe Savino, has been a Managing Partner with Northwestern Mutual for the last 30 years. My Mom, Joanne Savino, served as the Executive Director of Recruiting for 19 years and currently works as the Director of Marketing, and my youngest brother Mark, an Ivy League graduate of Brown University, is also a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual. Although we work independently of one another, I feel fortunate to interact with them on a daily basis. Our combined experience with Northwestern Mutual exceeds 60 years!"
"Growing up I was able to witness firsthand the impact that financial representatives had on their client’s lives. As an adult entering a career I knew I wanted to make an impact on peoples' lives and what better way to do that than help them achieve financial security for themselves and their family. I feel blessed that while I love what I do, I also am able to help people reach their goals and dreams!"
"I am proud to be part of such a quality group of individuals at The Savino Financial Group, as well as a company honored as one the 'World's Most Admired Companies' in the life insurance industry according to FORTUNE® magazine's 2012 annual survey."

Lending a hand in my community.
Marissa Savino Williams has been giving back to her community since an early age.
"Giving back to the community has always been something that is important and comes naturally to me. As far back as I can remember, I was volunteering; in my schools, church, and my community."
Marissa supports The Savino Financial Group Network Office's commitment to the community. She has given back financially, as a volunteer and a leader to their many programs, including their Thanksgiving Baskets for Homefront, American Red Cross of Central New Jersey blood drives, holiday gifts for Underprivileged Children, and most recently the Network Office's long-term commitment to The Special Olympics of New Jersey.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
