Mark has been married to his wife Lynn for nearly 28 years. They have resided in Summit, NJ with their daughter for over 10 years. Mark enjoys salt water fishing and many other hobbies but maximizing his family time is most important to him.

Mark Mantay has been serving clients at Northwestern Mutual since 2004. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters of Engineering Mechanical and an MBA. Those were useful in his first career. However as he explains below, in order to best serve his clients, he has received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and is also Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) insurance.

Mark talks about his career and Northwestern Mutual:

After working for 22 years in various technical and business executive positions, I wanted more personal satisfaction from my career. While supporting my family was certainly vital, so was finding work I was passionate about. I wanted to find a career where I could make a significant impact and at the same time, have more control and independence in my work life.

 I'm the type of person who just loves to help others, so I decided to help individuals and business owners plan for, implement and achieve financial security as my second career. My research identified a common theme - if I was looking for someone to serve me and my family in that capacity, I should work with a CFP. So I pursued and received my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. As I learned more, I also became Certified in Long Term Care.

My research also led me to understand that, to best fulfill my goal, I needed to be able to bring the best products and services to my clients. Northwestern Mutual's long standing traditions of quality products, financial strength, placing customer needs first and mutuality provided me with the final piece of the equation. When it comes to financial security for the client, the concept of mutuality, which aligns the interests of a company with its clients, is ideal.
