As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm excited to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Northwestern Mutual is a proud sponsor of Alex's Lemonade Stand. I have been happy to support such an incredible mission through volunteering, fund raising, and events over the past 10 years.
Several years ago, I was introduced to Mama G's Kitchen - a community outreach program located in the Tenderloin of San Francisco serving meals to the less fortunate. Each year around Thanksgiving a group of friends, coworkers and I eagerly join together to volunteer with Mama G's to help prepare over 750 Thanksgiving meals to be distributed!
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
Mama G's Street Dinners
Mama G’s believes in addressing hunger by sharing food and hope, and bringing resources donated by members of the community directly to the people who need it most. Founded in 2009, Mama G’s is a growing group of committed volunteers who have served thousands of people a warm, nutritious meal in the heart of the Tenderloin.
