Our mission at Oberg Capital Wealth Management is to be the finest team within the finest institution. Through financial planning we aim to enhance our clients ability to live a life worth telling stories about.
At Oberg Capital Wealth Management we believe it is important for clients and prospective clients to understand what is fair to expect from their financial advising team.
The industry today is very loud. Often times it can be difficult for a client to differentiate one advisor to another, so let's help clear the muddy water.
We believe there are three types of advisors you can come across in our industry and these advisors typically handle a combination of the 5 main pillars in financial planning.
Advisor 1: Investment Manager
What they do- manage investment portfolios and help project an estimated retirement date.
What they don't do- Tax planning, estate planning, retirement distribution planning, and insurance planning.
Advisor 2: Insurance Agent
What they do- Life insurance, disability insurance, long term care insurance, and property & casualty insurances.
What they don't do- tax planning, investment management, retirement distribution planning, and estate planning.
Advisor 3: Holistic Financial Planner
What they do- Investment management, customized retirement distribution planning, tax planning, estate planning, and insurance planning.
What they don't do- Not Much.
We have a saying that your team is good if they do 2-3 pillars, great if they are doing 4, and world class if they handle all 5.
We pride ourselves on being the holistic planner for all of our clients.
The question remains- What type of advising team are you working with? Should you expect more?
