Professional

I hear you. Being a Financial Advisor isn’t about handing a client a run-of-the-mill financial plan. And it’s not about having lots of conversations about money, or asking about your investment style. It’s about having conversations with people. It’s about family and dreams and legacy. It’s about understanding and hearing. It’s about listening. That’s what I do most: I listen more than I speak. That’s because listening to my clients explain their wants, as well as their needs, is absolutely essential in understanding how I can best help them achieve their financial goals comfortably, and in the time span they want.

People are unique. They want different things out of their lives, so when I hear my clients talking about travel, or building a second home, or arranging for a grandchild’s college education, it’s my job to first listen, and then create and monitor a custom plan which not only allows them these opportunities, but also, a plan which takes into account their current lifestyle needs. Yet, even more so, it’s also my job to advise clients about the kinds of things they don’t want to think about: illness, premature death, disability. I make sure your plan meets your and your loved ones needs for all that life hands you, both the good and the bad.

A good life doesn’t just happen. A good life is planned and created. For over 8 years, I’ve been helping clients plan their dreams into reality. In that same time, I’ve also been recruiting and developing my own team of professionals with whom I closely work. Together, we pool our knowledge and expertise to develop and maintain meaningful, personal relationships with our clientele. We want to impact your life positively. We want you to achieve success, financially and emotionally. We want you to be happy.

Years of Experience

Education

Bachelor of Science in General Business from University of Pacific

Personal

Peter is a San Francisco Bay Area native, he grew up in Lafayette, in the East Bay. He excelled in math and basketball which earned him a full scholarship to the University of Pacific in Stockton, California.

As a focused student athlete, he earned the Most Valuable Player award his senior year prior to graduating with a Bachelor of Science in General Business. After college, Peter was able to pursue his dreams and play professional basketball in Germany, Holland, Spain, Iceland and England for seven years. Peter feels incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to play basketball professionally and credits living and traveling throughout Europe as an invaluable, worldly experience that has shaped the way he helps clients in planning for their current and future financial goals.

Peter joined Northwestern Mutual as a financial advisor in 2009. His analytical thinking and exceptional math skills combined with his ability to work as a team player have been prudent in the long term planning for his clients’ financial futures. Peter is personally invested in his client’s successes as many of them are his peers and friends; he is pleased to include many Americans playing professional basketball in Europe and all over the world to his wide client base of Bay Area professionals. He is thankful to now call San Francisco home, as he believes the Bay Area is one of the greatest places to live in the world.

Outside of wealth management, he enjoys playing basketball, snowboarding, water skiing, surfing, kite surfing and traveling. His future goals and dreams are to have a family of his own and eventually travel to Antarctica.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
