Providing clear direction towards your dreams, goals, and a secure future
Personal
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I spent most of my time playing hockey and lacrosse and watching Da Bears. Growing up, my father was the Chief of Staff at Columbus Cabrini Hospital in downtown Chicago. Fairly early on in my childhood, my father was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Unfortunately, my father eventually lost his battle with cancer. However, this is one of the driving forces in my life; prior to his passing, my father's work ethic was second to none, and yet, he never missed a single one of my sporting events. In addition to the legacy he left of his character, my father also had made the sufficient steps to plan for his family's future.
After moving to Naples, Florida with my mom and sister to complete high school, I attended Miami University where I received my undergraduate degree in Political Science. Throughout college I was active in a variety of organizations, including Phi Kappa Psi, Greek Habitat for Humanity and a volunteer Firefighter/EMT at the Oxford Fire Department. After graduation, I pursued a Paramedic certificate from the Paramedic School at Cincinnati State and moved with my yellow lab Reilly to Denver, CO. I moved to Steamboat Springs, CO to pursue a career with the Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue as a Firefighter, Paramedic and Training Officer. Five years later, after some soul searching and a great opportunity, I opened my own financial planning practice in Steamboat Springs, allowing me to continue impacting people in a positive and life changing way; thus, began my association with Northwestern Mutual.
In the summer of 2016, I expanded my practice, partnered with Jerry and John, and returned to Naples. As a family, my wife Kari, our five children and I love spending time on our boat, fishing, golfing and spending time on Useppa Island, simply being outdoors together. I coach my daughter Teagan and son Cole's team in the Pee Wee program, and my son Finnegan in the Mini Mite program at Hertz Arena in Estero, FL.
Professional
I am passionate about a relationship first approach, as opposed to a transactional approach. With the utmost attention spent on getting to know my clients fears, goals and plans. It is critical in my practice that my team and I become an extension of each family or business, and a trusted resource to our clients.
When my team and I first meet with a potential client, we make sure to learn what the most important goals and dreams they have. From there, we will ask a series of questions, tailored to the individual to begin creating a plan. Subsequently, my team and I will create a comprehensive financial analysis, and series of customized recommendations based on the philosophy of a foundation of risk management, followed by wealth accumulation strategies and finally wealth preservation and distribution. If the potential client chooses to implement any of the recommendations, my team and I will regularly meet with them to continuously update and build upon their plan.
I am a Wealth Management Advisor. I have an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Miami University and a Master’s of Management from the University of Phoenix.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
