Let's Plan, vs. Hope

My energy, knowledge and passion will help you identify and clarify your priorities and heart's desires: getting CLEAR, CONNECTED and CONVICTED to these values and priorities is the first step in then, attending to the same within your plan, to assure their support and achievement.
Before I can suggest strategies or solutions optimally serving you and your family or business, I must get to know you.
And, to help you gain comfort with me, here's a bit about me.
I left a successful corporate career nearly 3 decades ago, seeking to make more of a difference than I was able to, there given the constant organizational changes, shift in direction, & lack of client focus I perceived and experienced in a mid-management role.
I'm entering my 28th year here at NM doing just that, and hope to have many more years of life-changing impact ahead of me.

Personal
Sheila, a Chicago native (Go CUBBIES!) grew up in Ft. Wayne, IN and enjoyed most of her earlier professional life there. She currently resides near Ingalls/Pendletons NE of Indy, serving clients in both the Indy and FW regions as well as around the country.
Not blessed with children of her own (except for several, over time, of the 4-legged variety) Sheila enjoys time with her immediate family, nieces, nephews, and her husband Jeffrey and his 3 grown daughters and 3 young grandchildren.
Sheila enjoys all things outdoors. She swam competitively as a youth in Ft. Wayne and at Notre Dame, and has been an avid spinner/cyclist, tennis player, hiker, fitness buff (because she is sadly, also a carb-head) and yogi. Multiple knee surgeries are changing the mix some, of late.
More recently, she's become a motorsports/racing enthusiast, enjoying the Indy racing scene and avidly supporting Jeff in his kart-racing pursuits - a gene planted in the Muench family many decades ago when Dad Ron won national championships and Jeff & his brother Kevin raced as kids.
Sheila & Jeff look forward to growing & serving in their Church-home, and to returning soon to Nicaragua, where Jeff has long-served in a church-planting, education, and provision of basic necessities aiming towards self-sustenance role, in partnership with the Nicaraguan Resource Network.
Sheila's Haitian mission trips with ND medical friends have unfortunately also been on hold since pre-Covid times due to continuing unrest there, but she hopes to resume this effort one day.
Even arrowhead hunting has been on hold with the Muench's recent move to the "country", but wildlife watching (and management - enter MC Muench, the kitten mouser-in-training) ) has ramped up a notch.

Sheila Roesler has served on the boards of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Ft. Wayne, the Ft. Wayne Estate Planning Council, the Notre Dame Club of Ft. Wayne and the Ft. Wayne Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA - Ft. Wayne). The Ft. Wayne and INDy chapters of ND WomenConnect were begun/revitalized with Sheila's involvement.
Sheila supports a number of not-for-profits and service organizations within and outside of the Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis communities, including NM's signature efforts with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (seeking cures and treatments for childhood cancer).
She and husband Jeff are active in third-world mission work in Haiti and Nicaragua.
Missions to Haiti, Nicaragua
Sheila has made 4 missions to Haiti, the last 3 with Notre Dame classmates and friends, where mobile medical clinics are conducted atop remote mountains and in busy, still re-building neighborhoods, orphanages, churches, schools, and community centers (which don't vaguely resemble what you might envision here in the US). And, one brief, recent trip to Nicaragua, with more hoped for soon. Recent visits have been limited since COVID (2020) and for safety reasons, but she and her cohorts continue to support educational efforts in these countries - it is THE way up and out of poverty, and ideally, into roles to further help one's own country.

Wine, Women, Wealth and Health
Sheila hosted a diverse & dynamic group of women to inspire and educate each other on things that matter. A recent gathering featured nutritionist, author and mother Marcia Crawford. Marcia’s latest book, The Care and Feeding of an Almost Adult: A Nutrition Guide for the Young and Wireless, inspired the Sheila’s most recent session. Marcia's engaging presentation sparked interesting discussion and lively debate. We hope our guests keep coming back as we continue to delve into topics of interest to women. Prior sessions included an informative presentation on preparing for and effectively delivering elder care, most typically to our parents or spouse. Mary Jo Bland of ProActive Elder Care shared from her personal experience, and her heart.

Fellowship and Complementary 'family portraits'.
In September, 2011, Sheila and her fellow-dog-lovin' clients and friends enjoyed fellowship (canine-ship?) and complimentary 'family portraits' for all.
How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
