How it Works
The most important aspect of working with a financial advisor is developing a relationship built on trust, communication, and clarity. There is no “one size fits all” recommendation in the financial world. Your plan is built around your life, your values, and your goals for the future. How are we able to do that?
The Introduction
First, we will have an introductory meeting. This can be done in person or over the phone. We’ll talk about you! I want to know about your family, your plans, your fears, and your ideal future. I want to know who you are, what you value, and how I can help you. I also want you to know who I am, who is on my team, how we work, and answer any questions you have about our team and our process.
Financial Snapshot
Once we agree on where you’re going, I’ll need to know where you are, with a snapshot of everything financial. Recent statements, balances, budget, employee benefits, any existing life, disability or long term care insurance, estate planning documents, debts, and anything else that will help me map out the starting point for your financial plan. You can bring these items to your introductory meeting, or send them to us afterwards.
The Plan
My team and I will craft a comprehensive financial plan based on your current financial status and look for ways to get you to your ideal financial future.
The Presentation
We will meet to go through your plan. We will discuss how your financial future looks right now, our recommendations for adjustments and our reasons behind them, answer any questions you have, make changes if you suggest them, and talk you through the implementation process if you decide to proceed.
Working with us
If you decide to work with us, we will meet at least annually, or more frequently as determined by your plan. Your life and your goals may change, and your plan should change accordingly. We want to be in your corner when life events happen, when you have questions, when you are second-guessing yourself. We want to be at the center of your financial life. Most importantly, we want to help you to feel confident in your own financial success.
