About Me

Being a father of six, my life with my wife, Judy has moved from coaching and attending soccer and softball games to planning weddings and we are looking forward to grandchildren.
I love to spend my time off in Vermont, where my grandfather Deane C. Davis was Governor, and my grandmother Marjorie Davis was First Lady. I spent my summers on their Morgan horse farm, often driving them to various speaking engagements around the state. I proudly continue their legacy with my involvement in GreenUp Vermont, an annual statewide trash cleanup event.
In 1980, I joined Bikecentennial and cycled 4,200 miles from Williamsburg, Virginia, to Pacific City, Oregon, in 82 days. In 2019, I ran the Boston Marathon with my stepson, Kevin Crosby and raised money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, an organization that is close to my heart due to a family member suffering from the condition.
At the age of 50, I became a published author and to date, I have written seven books. These true-life experiences range from cycling across the country, my family's legacy in insurance practice, to my journey running the Boston Marathon. I will continue to tap into my strengths and experience.
I played varsity soccer and hockey while in high school. I then attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earning a BA degree in English. My leadership skills were honed as President of Zeta Psi Fraternity.
My passion for music was ignited after watching The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 and I knew at five years old, that flame would never be extinguished. In 1988, my brother Steve and I produced our all original first album, "Third Person," which had two number-one songs on WBCN and WAAF. The album release at The Paradise in Boston was a significant milestone in my music career which we continue to this day.
"I am a truly lucky man to have an amazing family, a career that has both purpose and meaning, and the independence to do all the things I enjoy doing with passion." - Tom Greeley
Tom's Mission
My parents’ contrasting experiences have profoundly shaped my perspective on the importance of planning for life’s expenses. My father, who had the foresight to do some Long-Term Care planning, benefited from this coverage alongside the 24-hour care my mother lovingly provided. This support allowed my mother to take breaks and remain active in her church community while an aide assisted at home.
In contrast, my mother had to rely on extended family and the assets accumulated during her marriage to finance her care until her passing a few years ago. These experiences fuel my passion for enabling other families to provide for their loved ones at home. It is my mission to help clients build comprehensive plans that ensure financial security and peace of mind.

Have you ever heard of three generations of a family working at the same company? My father, Sid Jr., and I have cherished this unique legacy. When my grandfather, Sid Sr., retired from his career as a small business owner, Sid Jr. welcomed him into the company. His focus was to assist my father's older clients in order to focus on their retirement and longevity planning needs. Now, I proudly carry on this family tradition, dedicating my career to serving our clients with the same commitment and care.
In 1982, after a year as a college intern with Northwestern Mutual, I chose to focus on insurance and investment planning to help clients save for their college and retirement
I've been able to share the benefits of my expertise with my family and friends. My Mom and Dad specifically had two different experiences that have shaped my perspective on the importance of planning for life's expenses.
Lending a hand in my community
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Crohn's and Colitis Foundation - Team Challenge
In 2019, Tom and his stepson Kevin Crosby embarked on a heartfelt mission to represent Team Challenge for Chrohn's and Colitis by running the Boston Marathon. Their dedication and teamwork, fueled by the love of a family member who suffers with Chrohn's disease, not only helped them conquer the grueling race but also enabled them to raise approximately $7,700 for the cause.

Vermont Green Up
Vermont Green Up was originally started in April of 1970 by Tom Greeley’s grandfather, Deane C. Davis, Governor of Vermont (1968-1972). An act of congress enabled the complete shutdown of Interstate 89 for four hours to allow more than 60,000 Vermont residents to pick up trash from all points of state, creating the first environmental state-wide cleanup program in the nation. At this time Green Up, Inc is focusing its efforts to making Green Up Day a Massachusetts event through house bill H320.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
