About me
Vanesa was born in Cali, Colombia, and immigrated to the United States with her family at just two years old. Raised in the vibrant atmosphere of her father’s restaurants, she witnessed firsthand how one person could touch lives through passion and service — a lesson that continues to shape her journey.
Vanesa earned her bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from the American Intercontinental University. After nearly a decade in retail management, she discovered her true calling: helping others achieve financial independence. Today, she’s passionate about making financial literacy accessible, engaging, and empowering — especially for women, people of color, and her Latino community.
As one of the Growth and Development Directors in her office, Vanesa leads a team of Financial Representatives dedicated to transforming lives through personalized planning and community outreach. Her team’s mission is to impact 100 lives every year — a goal they’ve proudly reached for the past nine years. Vanesa herself is a consistent Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) qualifier, a Lives Leaders Summit achiever, and an active participant in her firm’s Women’s field association.
She is especially focused on supporting small business owners, helping them align their business and personal financial goals to ensure long-term growth and continuity.
Vanesa lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband, Sean, their two boys, and their rescue dog, Marley. Outside of work, she’s a proud member of the Wolfpack networking and mastermind group, serves on the leadership committee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and sits on the board of the nonprofit organization To Love is to Give. In her spare time, you’ll find her enjoying time with her family, supporting local causes, or recharging with a good book or a walk outdoors.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
