Wyatt always knew he liked working with numbers and talking with people. Right out of college, Wyatt worked as a teller at a local bank in Williamsburg, VA and quickly moved to the desk side. While at that bank, he took advantage of their tuition assistance program and completed his MBA. Luckily, one of Wyatt’s clients at the time happened to be a Financial Advisor for Northwestern Mutual. That client talked him into doing an interview - and 6 interviews later, here he is!

Both of Wyatt’s parents influenced his decision to become a Financial Advisor. They work as state employees and had never done any professional financial planning. Most people think you must be wealthy to work with an Advisor when it’s the complete opposite. Wyatt’s mission when working with clients it to educate them on anything and everything related to financial planning.

Financial planning is important to Wyatt because his mother-in-law passed away from Cancer when she was 57 years old. He knows first-hand what proper planning and life insurance has been able to do for his father-in-law and his family. When working with clients Wyatt wants to provide them with a sense of security and comfort knowing they have a plan for the highs and lows that life has to offer.

At the end of each day Wyatt looks forward to seeing his wife Christina & puggle Franco. He is very active as a Rotarian since 2012 and enjoys playing Tennis & Golf. Something interesting about Wyatt is in 2011, he sought out to find his biological parents in China and did find them! They wrote a book and had it published in China, Taiwan & the US. They started a foundation offering orphans the opportunity to study abroad as an exchange student.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
