South Carolina Policyowners

Northwestern Mutual extends its support to families and businesses affected by Hurricane Florence. Northwestern Mutual and Northwestern Long Term Care are reinstating any individual life, DI, and LTC policies with payers in all South Carolina counties which lapsed due to non-payment of premium since September 14, 2018. In addition, we will suppress lapse notices and prevent lapse of life, DI, and LTC policies with payers in these counties due to non-payment of premium until November 13, 2018, as required by South Carolina's Department of Insurance. If a policyowner impacted by the hurricane requests a copy of his or her insurance policy (e.g., due to loss), a copy shall be provided within 15 calendar days of the request at no cost to the policyowner.

North Carolina Policyowners

Northwestern Mutual and Northwestern Long Term Care are reinstating any individual life, DI, and LTC policies which lapsed due to non-payment of premium since September 17, 2018 affecting payers in these North Carolina counties: Beaufort, Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Duplin, Harnett, Jones, Lenoir, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, Roberson, Sampson, and Wayne. In addition, we will suppress lapse notices and prevent lapse of life, DI, and LTC policies with payers in these counties due to non-payment of premium until December 19, 2018, as required by North Carolina's Department of Insurance.
