Northwestern Mutual has been made aware of three fraudulent websites, located at www.nwguidance.com, www.nw-guidance.com or www.new-guidance.com (“NW Guidance”) that have illegally copied our Company website.
Please be advised that these sites are in no way affiliated with Northwestern Mutual. These types of scams are used to obtain your personal information.
If you get an email that appears to be from Northwestern Mutual or another secure site asking you to "verify your account," call us to ask if an email was sent. Never answer one of these emails. Note: Northwestern Mutual will never send unsolicited emails asking clients to provide, update, or verify personal or other information, such as passwords, Social Security numbers, PINs, banking information, or other confidential information.
If you discover that you are being targeted or if you are a victim of fraud, please consider filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection - Consumer Information or with the FBI's Internet Crime Unit at Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). You should also consider filing a complaint with your local police department.
