Northwestern Mutual Board Elects Mary Ellen Stanek and Timothy W. Sullivan to Board of Trustees
The board of trustees of Northwestern Mutual has elected Mary Ellen Stanek and Timothy W. Sullivan to serve on the company's board. Stanek is currently managing director and director of asset management for international wealth management, capital markets, private equity and asset management firm Robert W. Baird & Co. Sullivan is president and CEO of Bucyrus International, Inc., a world leader in the design and manufacture of high productivity mining equipment for surface and underground mining.

Mary Ellen Stanek is responsible for the development and portfolio management of all proprietary asset management services in her position as Managing Director and Director of Asset Management at Baird. Additionally she serves as President of the Baird Funds. She previously served as President and CEO of Firstar Investment Research & Management Company. Ms. Stanek graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University and received her MBA from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
Timothy W. Sullivan has served as president and chief executive officer of Bucyrus International, Inc. since March 19, 2004, after holding various management positions with the company since joining in 1976. He also served as president and chief executive officer of United Container Machinery, Inc. in Glen Arm, Maryland from January through December 1999, rejoining Bucyrus in January 2000. Mr. Sullivan graduated from Carroll University in Business Administration, and received his MBA from American Graduate School of International Management.
Both Stanek and Sullivan are active members of the Milwaukee community, contributing their skills to number of corporate and nonprofit boards.
