Causes we care about
Along with making the financial lives of our clients better, we're improving our community, too. Through financial support, volunteerism and collaboration with partners, we're helping to build a stronger community.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer

Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual has donated more than $20 million to support ALSF. Locally, the Washington, D.C. office is proud raise money that will go toward changing the lives of children with cancer.
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. From volunteering to raising funds at events such as Light the Night Walks, Student of the Year, and Man and Woman of the Year campaigns, members of the Washington, D.C. office are proud to help improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Washington Area Women's Foundation
Real change comes when a community invests in itself. The Washington Area Women’s Foundation works to build economic opportunities with and for young women and girls of color in our region. Our office is proud to support their mission to provide women and girls the resources they need to thrive.
Northwestern Mutual Impact Day
Each June our office participates in an Impact Day where we partner with a local charity to help support their cause. Typically, we have more than 100 volunteers giving 500 hours or more of service in a single day.
