Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer


Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15. ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual has donated more than $20 million to support ALSF. Locally, the Washington, D.C. office is proud raise money that will go toward changing the lives of children with cancer.

LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. From volunteering to raising funds at events such as Light the Night Walks, Student of the Year, and Man and Woman of the Year campaigns, members of the Washington, D.C. office are proud to help improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Every year, seriously ill children and their families need to travel away from their hometown to receive specialized care. Whether it’s volunteering at a local Ronald McDonald House or donating money to support one, our office is happy to help families with sick children get the best medicine—each other.

Northwestern Mutual Impact Day


Each June our office participates in an Impact Day where we partner with a local charity to help support their cause. Typically, we have more than 100 volunteers giving 500 hours or more of service in a single day.
