Corey Fleisner, CLU, ChFC, Managing Partner, began his career as a college intern in 1998 on the campus of University Wisconsin Milwaukee. Upon graduating college in 2000, he started full-time career with the company developing a strong passion for financial planning. In 2004, his leadership journey began as a Managing Director of the Germantown District Office, serving at that time as one of the youngest in the country in such a role. Today, Corey’s leadership efforts focus on attracting a diversity of top talent, supporting advisors, growing leaders, and the transformation of how we serve clients. With primary offices located in Appleton, Green Bay, & Germantown, as well as additional offices in Wausau, Stevens Point, Medford, Sheboygan, Upper Peninsula, Rhinelander, Shawano, Marshfield, New London, Ripon, Beaver Dam, and Manitowoc. Corey and his wife Marianne, have 3 children – Charlize, Coralie, and Penneton. As a family they enjoy traveling and being active together.

After beginning his career in the Klinger Network Office of Toledo, Ohio, Jake grew as the most tenured Growth and Development Director at Northwestern Mutual Green Bay. Jake is responsible for identifying high quality individuals in the community and introducing them to a career with Northwestern Mutual. Jake oversees all new Financial Representative and Advisor development across the District, and maintains individual Mentor relationships with Green Bay's associates, providing direction and coaching. Jake also focuses on developing new Leaders for the Fleisner Network Office. While giving his time in a Leadership capacity, Jake also runs his own practice, exemplifying the diligence and hard work that goes into a successful career at Northwestern Mutual.

I was born and raised in Slinger, Wisconsin, a really great small community. I played basketball and baseball in high school. I ventured off to college following my senior year. I met my wife Robin in 2009. At that time, I also enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where I studied Business Administration for 3 years. I achieved my Bachelor's of Business Administration with a major in Finance. Robin and I have been happily married since 2012. In 2013, we welcomed our first son Everett into our family. Our second son, Eddy, was born in 2015. I very much enjoy my time with my family.

Travis Kempf is a Growth and Development Director in our Stevens Point office. Travis graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In 2008, Travis Kempf joined Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Advisor. After successfully building his personal practice, Travis was asked to head the internship program in Central Wisconsin as the College Unit Director and the full time program as a Field Director. Travis’ current responsibilities include the development of both college interns and the full-time advisors. Travis maintains his personal financial planning practice and is responsible for recruiting talent in Central and North Central Wisconsin. Travis looks to continue his leadership journey by expanding the Central and North Central Wisconsin territory. A die hard sports fan, Travis lives in Custer, WI and is married to Gina; they have four children: Lila (2011), Twins – Landon and Leo (2013), and Lewis (2019).

Katie began her career with Northwestern Mutual in 2001 as a college intern with the Schwertfeger Agency in Milwaukee, WI. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Marketing with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she became a fulltime employee with the Schwertfeger Agency. In 2005, Katie became an Associate Wealth Management Advisor. In 2012, Katie moved into the Chief Operations Officer role. She is responsible for anticipating all needs of the office and planning for development. Katie works closely with Corey Fleisner to lead the office infrastructure needs. Katie holds her health and life insurance licenses as well as her Series 6, 63, 26, 66, and 7. Katie earned her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation in 2012 and Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF®) designation in 2015. Katie is married to Jeff and they have a daughter, Claire. Kelly Imig is our Director of Network Office Supervision. Under Managing Partner, Corey Fleisner’s direction, Kelly supervises activities of financial representatives and their employees with respect to laws and regulations of various agencies. Kelly is well versed on Company policies and procedures pertaining to insurance and securities sales practices. Kelly does this by maintaining strong relationships with the Network Office teams, financial representatives and their teams as well as our Home Office teams. Kelly’s main goal is to develop partnerships with financial representative and their teams to partner on the growth of their practices the right way. Kelly holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10 and 66 as well as Life, Accident and Health insurance licenses.

John joined Northwestern Mutual in 2013 after serving as Activities Director at Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh. Prior to Lourdes, John spent 10 years at the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh as a football coach and administrator within the athletics department. John helped in the re-branding of the department and various fundraising projects, including raising over $400,000 for a new scoreboard. As Director of Training and Development, John works closely with Corey Fleisner to lead agency wide development and follow through on the Financial Representative Learning Path. This includes initial training, Client Building Academy, on-going development programs and leadership alignment. John holds his health and life insurance licenses as well as his Series 6. John lives in Appleton with his wife Paula and three sons Hutson, Harrison and Huston.
