About me
Hi! I'm Ashly Schiller - a Marine Corps veteran, Financial Advisor, wife, mom of two amazing kids, and a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan (yes, I used to hold season tickets before we moved to beautiful St. Augustine!).
My journey to financial advising didn't start in a suit and tie - it started in the motor pool, turning wrenches as a diesel mechanic in the Marines. That experience taught me discipline, grit, and how to solve complex problems under pressure - skills I now use every day to help families navigate their finances with confidence.
After the military, I transitioned into the world of finance and quickly realized that so many families were overwhelmed, stressed, or unsure about how to make smart financial decisions. I knew I wanted to help. I love working with families - especially those juggling life, kids, careers, and everything in between - because I'm right there with you. As a mom, I understand how important it is to plan for the future while managing today's realities.
I specialize in foundational financial planning - things like budgeting, life insurance, emergency funds, and saving for future goals like college, retirement, or even starting a business. My approach is personal, judgement-free, and built around your values and dreams.
When I'm not building financial plans or chasing after my little ones, you'll find me watching a Braves game, singing in church, or planning our next family adventure.
If you're looking for a financial advisor who truly understands where you're coming from and will walk alongside you every step of the way, I'd love to connect.
Lending a hand in my community.
Giving back is at the heart of everything I do. I lead a local women’s networking group and a marriage small group through my church, where I also serve on the worship team. I regularly help organize fundraisers for mission trips and proudly serve as a preferred vendor for the St. Johns BFFs. I also volunteer with Cup of Love Ministries, which supports our downtown Jacksonville neighbors with food, faith, and compassion.
Through my work with Northwestern Mutual, I support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to funding research and supporting families affected by childhood cancer.
Whether I’m guiding clients through financial decisions, leading in ministry, or working in the community, I’m passionate about making a lasting impact wherever I can.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

St. Johns BFF (Business, Faith, and Friendship)
A community for women in and around St. Johns, FL—where life, business, and faith come together. Whether you're growing a small business, seeking genuine connections, or looking for a supportive space, this is where women uplift and empower each other every step of the way! "BFF" is more than just "best friends forever"—it's a movement! It stands for Business, Faith, and Friendship, creating a space bigger than we ever imagined. Founded by Jac Kalaher and Jessica Swearingen, St. Johns BFF is all about building connections, growing small businesses, and uplifting women of faith. It's a community where support, encouragement, and success go hand in hand—because we rise higher when we lift each other up!
Church on the Rock - St. Augustine
We exist to reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus, that they may become fully devoted followers of Christ.
How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
