The Heart Behind The Planning.

I became a financial advisor for the same reason I became a teacher: to help people feel confident, capable, and supported as they take their next step forward.

With a background in education and a lifelong passion for service, I approach planning as a collaboration, not a transaction. I believe your financial strategy should reflect your values, your lived experiences, and the kind of life you want to build.

Here’s how I do things differently:

Values-Based Investing: I help clients explore sustainable investing strategies so their portfolios align with what matters—from climate impact to corporate responsibility.

Educator at Heart: With over a decade of teaching experience, I simplify the complex and meet you where you are, so you feel empowered—not overwhelmed.

Human-First Approach: You're not a case file. You're a person with a story. I lead with curiosity, listen with care, and work hard to help you feel heard, safe, and supported.

Bilingual & Culturally Aware: I’m fluent in Spanish and bring a global perspective, shaped by personal experience and a deep respect for diverse journeys.

Creative by Nature: My roots in music shape the way I think and connect. I bring rhythm, empathy, and creativity to every conversation and plan we build.

Whether you're building wealth for the first time or navigating your next chapter, I'm here to be your partner, not just in planning, but in life.

Let’s create a plan that fits your story.

David's family. His wife in a white dress on the left, him holding their baby daughter in a white dress on the right.

I am married to Aide, and we have the most beautiful daughter in the world, Aria. You can find us anywhere from the ski slopes and hiking trails to dancing vallenato and searching for the best chicharrones Denver has to offer. I am originally from Colorado, and have lived in Washington, DC, Seattle, Malaysia, Colombia, and Colorado's Front Range. Aide is from Colombia and spent ten years in the Colombian Air Force before living in both Seattle and Denver. Aria loves anywhere she is, especially if there are animals around.

Financial growth and global impact, yes, you can have both.

I believe your money should reflect your values, because building wealth shouldn’t come at the cost of what matters most.

As someone who cares deeply about people and the planet, I help clients explore sustainable investing strategies that align with their goals and their principles. Whether it’s environmental sustainability, board diversity, or social equity, we’ll look at how your investments can support the world you want to see.

ESG

But this isn’t about perfection.

It’s about awareness, curiosity, and making choices that feel right to you.

Some clients come in asking about ESG right away. Others haven’t considered it before, but are open to learning. Wherever you are, I’ll meet you there.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Environmental impact and carbon-conscious investing
  • Companies with diverse, ethical, and values-driven leadership
  • Portfolio strategies that balance performance with purpose

Let’s build a financial plan that helps you grow your wealth and do good while you’re at it.

Rooted in Community. Driven by Impact.

Giving back is part of who I am—both as a person and as a planner. I believe financial planning should lead to better lives, stronger communities, and lasting change. That’s why I’m proud to support causes that reflect those values, including Northwestern Mutual’s mission to advance childhood cancer research and care.

These are just a few of the organizations I’m honored to stand behind:

Community Partner: El Sistema Colorado

Creating access, confidence, and community through music. Music has always been part of my life, and I believe every child should have access to the opportunities it provides. That’s why I support El Sistema Colorado, an incredible nonprofit offering free instruments and high-quality music education to youth from low-income families. Through orchestral training and community-centered programs, El Sistema helps students develop confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging. Their mission to break down barriers and uplift families through music resonates deeply with my own commitment to creating meaningful, lasting impact.

El Sistema

Community Partner: Girls Rock Denver

Empowering the next generation through music, creativity, and confidence. As a longtime supporter of music education and youth empowerment, I’m proud to be involved with Girls Rock Denver, a volunteer-led organization that gives girls and gender-expansive youth a safe, expressive space to build confidence through music. Their mission aligns deeply with my values: to help young people be seen, heard, and supported as they discover their voice, on stage and in life.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
