About me
Life teaches us valuable lessons, often through the unexpected. My personal financial journey began during a challenging time in my life. Since I turned my life over to God, He has guided me through experiences that shaped my perspective on financial planning.
God led me to a career as a people leader, where I worked to turn my financial life around. A Northwestern Mutual advisor helped me protect my future and diversify out of my concentrated stock options. I also met my wife, Katelyn—a former intern and advisor at Northwestern Mutual—who encouraged me to pursue financial planning.
We returned from our wedding to face an unforeseen, five-figure asbestos issue at home. Thankfully, we weathered the storm because of the guidance we had received from our advisor. This experience solidified my belief in the value of having a solid financial plan, which I am now paying forward by helping others create their own plans.
Today, as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, I am passionate about helping individuals, families, and business owners take control of their financial futures. I provide a supportive, pressure-free environment with straightforward conversations.
On a personal note, Katelyn and I met in Seattle and moved to her hometown in the Black Hills after our wedding. We plan to start a family soon, but in the meantime, we enjoy hiking, camping with our two dogs, brewery hopping, and spending summer days on the pontoon. We are big fans of the Mariners and miss attending baseball games, but I keep my love for the sport alive by playing on my church softball team.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
