About me

Our practice was built to give back to the special needs community.  As a parent of a neurodivergent son myself, I know the journey can be overwhelming.  I've had to navigate county benefits, advocating through school, coordinating numerous healthcare providers, and the day-to-day of working full time and being there for the rest of our family as well.  It has been a journey full of challenges and opportunities for growth.  I've had hundreds of conversations with other parents, and what I hear most often is that we all crave a community who "gets it", and we wish we had an "easy button" sometimes!

I started this practice to use my mess to bless other families.  Our clients often have a personal connection to the special needs community.  They include families raising a child with special needs, their family members, neighbors, teachers, healthcare providers, and business owners.  Our first goal is to gain a deep understanding of each family's journey and what they want the future to look like.  When clients are directly caring for someone with a disability, it can be challenging to picture life beyond the current moment.  We help deliver simplified, clear advice tailored to each client's unique journey, helping them achieve their goals one step at a time.

Our Values:

  • We put people first
  • We build trusted relationships that respect the dignity and goals of our clients
  • We are connectors and value creators
  • We give back

I'd love to hear your story......

-Sincerely, Genevieve Cornish

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
