About me
Bonavita means “good life” in Italian.
When my grandparents immigrated to this country, that’s what they wanted to provide their families - a good life. My parents inherited their parents’ tireless work ethic, and modeled that throughout my childhood – all while attending every single sporting event, dance performance, or theatric show I was involved in. They turned "good" into so much more, always centered around their most important value - FAMILY.

Family Came First.
My parents both carved out careers in the financial world, putting me through high school at Phillips Exeter Academy and college at the University of Southern California, a gift I will never take for granted.
I graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, and for the first decade out of school I was a Sports Director, Anchor, and Reporter for a few local news stations in upstate New York (interesting transition as a lifetime Boston sports fan.) As an Emmy-nominated journalist, my career was built around finding and telling compelling stories. When my husband and I welcomed our children into the world, I changed course to have ownership of my own story, with my family as the stars.

Family comes first.
As passed down for generations, I work to provide them not just a good life, but a beautiful life.
What does a beautiful life look like for you? Perhaps you have every detailed painted on the canvas of your brain; maybe you’ve never thought about it before.
Either way, with my background I’m uniquely equipped to ask meaningful questions and actively listen with compassion, gaining a deep understanding of the journey you’ve taken to this point, and the path you want to pave moving forward.
Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours. I participate in our agency's annual charity Lemon tournament each year, benefitting ALSF.

Ronald McDonald House
Our agency proudly sponsor's the Ronald McDonald House's H.O.P.E (Helping Preemies Excel) program, which provides care bags filled with helpful items for families in the Albany Med NICU. A group of volunteers rotate each month to prep those care bags.

A Toast To Life!
I have been honored to emcee several events for To Life! - an organization with the mission to provide personal support, empower informed decision-making, and enhance the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer in the Capital Region.

Center for Disability Services
We support the Center for Disability Services throughout the year as a signature sponsor of their Aficionado Experience, purchasing gifts for kids in their programs each year at Christmas, and joining their annual telethon.

Peaceful Acres Equestrian Facility
I have been a volunteer with Peaceful Acres Equestrian Facility, a donor-supported nonprofit equine welfare organization that has rescued, restored and re-homed at-risk and slaughter-bound equines since 2007.

Go Red For Women
I have been honored to attend the American Cancer Society's signature Go Red for Women Event, which addresses the awareness and clinical care gaps of women’s greatest health threat, cardiovascular disease (CVD).

UAlbany Athletics
I was proud to participate in the UAlbany Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
