- Certified Financial Planner™ professional certification is one of the most recognized financial planning marks in the world. The certification identifies to the public those individuals who have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when dealing with clients. The certification differs from an educational designation or state license in that it is based upon requirements that have been determined by extensive job analyses of actual practitioners in the field, and therefore, continue to evolve with the profession.

Personal
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Cal State Fullerton. I was born and raised in Riverside, California and currently reside with my beautiful wife, Heather, and our two children in Mission Viejo. I have a passion for helping others and training Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. On the weekends in good weather, I can be found on a Duffy boat in the Newport Beach Marina with family and friends or catching some live music in Laguna. I am an avid traveler and passionate about immersing myself in other cultures.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Matt and his team also support the mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is an organization dedicated to the eradication of Type 1 Diabetes. By providing resources to affected families and conducting cutting-edge research, JDRF is actively working towards a future where Type 1 Diabetes is no longer a hindrance to a healthy, carefree life.
