Patrick and his wife, Kelli, live in Prosper with their daughters, Mackenzie, Mollie Claire and Madigan. He graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a BA in Finance and Management, BA in Organizational Management, and a minor in History. He was also a place kicker for SMU. He interned for US Sen. Johnston from Louisiana and was also a Senate Guide to Clarence Thomas in 1991.

Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Patrick was an energy trader for Sun Energy in Louisville, Kentucky.

His hobbies include hunting and playing golf with his children.

Patrick Matthews is involved with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

The mission of NAIFA is to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of our members.

NAIFA is a national nonprofit organization representing the interests of more than 70,000 insurance and financial advisors nationwide, through its federation of over 900 state and local associations. Founded in 1890, NAIFA is the nation's largest financial services membership association.

He is a member for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). MDRT is the premiere association of financial professionals. MDRT status designation is granted for one year and members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the MDRT.

Founded in 1927, MDRT provides its members with resources to improve their technical knowledge, sales and client service while maintaining a culture of high ethical standards.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

TeamConnor Cancer Foundation

Patrick, along with the entire Northwestern Mutual - Frisco, proudly supports the TeamConnor Cancer Foundation aimed at beating childhood cancer. With events ranging from annual golf tournaments to Christmas toy drives for children at Medical City Children's Hospital, the entire Northwestern Mutual - Frisco aims to complete TeamConnor's mission: Through effective and efficient use of resources, TeamConnor will raise awareness, support families, fund treatment programs, and help find a cure for childhood cancer.

Patrick, along with The Northwestern Mutual - Frisco office, proudly supports TangoTab (www.tangotab.com) which is dedicated to the fight against hunger by preparing meals for people less fortunate in our communities.
