Personal

Rikki has been born and raised in the financial services industry. Her grandfather was a Northwestern Mutual Advisor for 40 years along with her father Rick for 42 years. She started off as an Associate Representative after college and worked her way up to a Wealth Management Advisor after taking her Life/Health exams, Series 7, and Series 63 investment exams. Now Rikki and her sister LeAnn run the Iron Mountain, MI office together and focus on servicing the entire Upper Peninsula.

Rikki has a Bachelors in Business from St. Norbert College and enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan and their two children Luke & Joanna. They enjoy the outdoors and are involved in camping, boating, skiing, and sports.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Professional

I like to have three meetings with my clients. The first meeting I like to learn a little about you and have you learn a little more about me and see if you think my team and I can add value to your current situation now or sometime in the future. If so, I schedule a second conversation where I get to know you better. I ask what’s important to you now and what do you want to accomplish in the future. I ask you emotion and fact based questions. To truly create a comprehensive financial plan, I believe I need to know the answer to both of those types of questions.

The third conversation is where I show you how everything you shared comes together in your financial picture. How you are on track OR maybe not on track for your retirement//protecting your family/business succession planning/estate planning/etc. I create a baseline plan and offer recommendations if you are short on your goals to enhance your planning strategy.  The most thing is we build a relationship, and as your needs and financial concerns change, I walk alongside you to get to your desired end goal.

Here are my areas of expertise

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
