Meet Shannon Wiley
Shannon embarked on her journey with Northwestern Mutual in the summer of 2004, taking on various roles, from New Business Coordinator and Executive Assistant to Director of Marketing and Director of Selection. Seven years into her journey, Shannon attended her first College Awards Show in Milwaukee, and it left a lasting impression. Inspired by what she saw, she shared her vision with her Managing Partner at the Annual Meeting, aiming to bring that same excellence to her firm. Shannon then assumed the role of Internship Development Officer, turning a non-existent internship program into a business unit with 6+ conversions annually.
In 2016, Shannon took a significant leap of faith by launching her Financial Planning Practice. She made history as one of the first women to achieve Pacesetter 1st 40 in her firm. A year later, she felt compelled to take another leap and moved to St. Louis, becoming the CRO under the leadership of Gerard Hempstead.
Her journey led her back to Atlanta in 2019, where, under the guidance of Dwaan Black, she spent nearly a year building and launching a District. Shannon is deeply grateful for the belief and partnership of her Managing Partner, which ultimately led her to become a Managing Director.
Shannon's ultimate vision is to become one of the most distinguished Managing Partners at Northwestern Mutual.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, she cherishes her three nephews and dedicates most of her free time to watching them excel in baseball, football, and golf.

Shannon Wiley is a graduate of Georgia State University, where she earned a Bachelor in Business Administration and was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority.
One might say Northwestern Mutual runs in the family. Shannon's brother, Rich Wiley has also built a successful and strong team over the past decade, which influenced Shannon's decisions in her career with Northwestern Mutual with a focus on helping families and individuals.
In her free time, Shannon Wiley enjoys volunteering through the Delta Zeta advisory board, working out, traveling, and most importantly, watching her three nephews play baseball, basketball, and football… who will all be college athletes in the near future!
