About Wes
Wes joined Northwestern Mutual in 2012 after 28 years managing construction. Wes' practice focuses on comprehensive planning with closely held business owners and successful families. Wes has a Series 7 registration and continues to pursue further industry education. Clients lean on this practice to help them plan for living out of assets and passive income with efficiency and confidence, for fiduciary investment advisory services, taking care of personal insurance, and helping make financial decisions along the way. For the past three years, Wes and his team have qualified for Northwestern Mutual’s Forum group of top advisors in the company.
Wes married his best friend, Holly, in 1998, and they live in the city he has always loved calling home, Birmingham, Alabama. Wes and Holly’s four kids are Luke, a graduate of Mississippi State University, Jack at the United States Naval Academy, Alex Ann at Vestavia Hills High School and Max at Vestavia Hills Elementary West. Wes and his family have a heart for kids from hard places. They fostered children for many years and continue to be involved in the Alabama Baptist Children's Home where Wes serves on the Board of Directors.
Wes is committed to faith in God through Jesus Christ and loving his family and enjoys golf, baseball, travel and teaching.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
